Corvallis Community Choir Choir Director Announcement

The Corvallis Community Choir is a non-audition choir with an emphasis on inclusivity and diversity. We welcome people of all musical interests and abilities. It is the philosophy of this fun-loving choir that singing must be both rewarding and enjoyable. We sing to change the world. The choir currently has about fifty members, and is led by a steering committee that conducts the business of the choir. The choir has one two-hour practice each week, and performs at local venues several times each year, including senior living facilities, community events, and public concerts.

The successful candidate for the Choral Director's position will:

* Direct the choir at rehearsals and performances

* Teach the choir to perform the music

* Provide advice and direction in selecting music with the choir Music Committee or, when needed, finding an accompanist

* Record practice mp3s

* Present a professional appearance at all choir activities

* Receive an hourly wage: 2 hours per rehearsal, making mp3s, and performances

Interested candidates should present a letter of introduction with references and a resumé to the choir steering committee by Friday, June 1, 2018. We have extended the time of the search. Candidates will be interviewed soon after that date, and may be selected to audition before the choir.
